To request a repeat prescription you can either
- hand your computer slip to the receptionist, or
- go to your chemist for help.
Your prescription will be ready for collection within 48 hours, therefore, please make sure that you have at least 2 days' medication left before you ask for another prescription.
Online Repeat Prescriptions
You can now order your repeat prescriptions online.
To use EMIS Patient Access you will need a Practice ID number and Access ID number which is obtained from the practice, and, in conjunction with a password, will be unique to you.
If you have already have your login details, sign in to Patient Access.
Or complete this online form to request a prescription.
Nominating a pharmacy
You will need to choose a pharmacy to collect your prescription from. We call this nominating a pharmacy.
You can change your nominated pharmacy at any time:
- Online, on the app or website where you order repeat prescriptions
- At your GP practice
Collecting your prescription
You can usually collect your prescription from the pharmacy 3 to 5 working days after you have ordered it.

If you have questions about your medicine or your prescription please contact the surgery.
Your local pharmacists can also answer any questions about your prescription. They can answer questions on medicines you can buy without a prescription.
